The link was sent to me by a friend who didn't even know I had my eye on tech, but is aware of how much I invest in self development, Why you should always let people know what you stand for and where you stand. Yes, your motivational speaker is here! LOL. This world is rich, Africa is a rich. Omo! (Ask a Yoruba friend to help you with translation)

Hello, I know you deserve better than hello but what can I say, no vocabulary is better than hello right now.   It's been ages, Nigeria keeps getting better(no negativity) the pandemic didn't  help too, but here we are, standing, my fellow survivors, say yaaaaay! A lot has happened since I last posted, let me try and fill you in. I signed up for courses, finished some, abandoned some, met new people, almost dated..LOL, betrayed a close friend(I'm still sad about it, yes i have apologized, yea, she forgave me and we are good now) I found some old love letters and poem from my 'toasters' in secondary school, had a good laugh reading them, interesting stuff.  I had a major break out and skin reaction that landed me in UCH, at this period I was eating healthy, exercising, drinking lots of water and minding my business, oh yes, my skin still betrayed me, I had an accident for the first time in my life, (Keke Napep) I made a financial error that led me to debt, I reconne

It's a good day! Whooo! How have you been? Yes you😊 Hope you're staying strong in these times🤗 It's a week today I got revived😊 and its been so sweet reading your feedback and comments even till now. Thank you so much for the love and for coming back here today. So today I'm sharing all about being an aesthetician. What it is & what they do. Sounds like a reality TV show. Hahaa😀 An aesthetician is someone who specializes in the beautification of the skin. That is; make skin beautiful, improve the appearance of the skin. Aestheticians are not medical doctors; or dermatologists. So what do we do? One, We sell and recommend skincare products. Secondly, We are trained to recognize conditions that require treatment by a dermatologist (a physician who specializes in skin) And lastly, we offer clients our expertise on different products containing ingredients that suits their skin to keep it looking young, flawless and beautiful. We are al

Revived

I am back. Yaaaay! Its been three years since I first posted here and it feels just like yesterday. Why did I stop posting? Lot of factors but looking back now they're all excuses. Now I have news....between the last time I posted and today, I am now an Aesthetician. Ghen gehn. Yes, you read that right! My game in the beauty industry is almost a hundred. I keep learning, reading, researching and taking courses on skin care, hair, business and marketing. Guess what, I just finished a class and it inspired me to revive my blog. Sweet. Another good thing is I'm writing again. The best part, I get to do the two things I love the most at the same time- Writing and helping people feel and look good. So amazing! By the way, I learnt that Arrival is only an Illusion. why? You should never stop learning, growing, acquiring knowledge and aspiring to become, else you settle and before you know it, you become extinct. And that is not something anyone wants.  We all want to
My discovery  When Love happened..... It was love at first sight. It happened one beautiful summer afternoon in 2006, I had just finished my SSCE and was in Lagos for the summer break.  I was at my cousin's place on the island, Lagos Island...Isale Eko ;ooh wonderful place (story for another time) They had a salon and a fashion designing store just at the basement of the 3 storey building, but of course, I was more interested in the beauty parlor, the salon precisely.  I made friend with the stylists, and they became my padis(friends) too.   This sunny afternoon, a customer walked in to make her hair, she washed her hair and when it was dry, she brought out the weaves she wanted to be installed for her.  That was when it happened.  I fell in love! With human hair weaves! There was something about the weave, the beauty, the luster, the silkiness, the softness, the feel of it on the hand when I touched it. It was just "different". It wasn't like the hair I was
Welcome to Everything Hair and Weaves with Empress Lope So we're going to be talking everything Hair and Weaves! And some Beauty and skin talk also depending on requests And am so excited because this is something I love talking about, I've been in love with weaves for years now! A woman's hair is her crown indeed it must be taken care of. I have human hair weaves that are 8 years, some less and you wouldn't know they are that old due to proper care and maintainance. I have sewn some in , turned them to wigs and remove them from the wig cap and used them as sew in.  Interesting yeah? A year ago, I decided to take my weave love a step further by making the weaves into wigs, although I've been into hair sales majorly for about 10years now. Wig making is kind of new love for me which am now obsessed with😁 My love for good hair is so real that the first thing I notice when I see a lady is her hair 😃 then her brows😂 A good weave doesn't mean exp
